Make a Virtual Tour of
What To Do
Take pictures or video of the inside and outside of where you live.
How To Do It
Start with the outside of your residence. Walk around your home and capture what it looks like. What does the street you live on look like? What does your yard, balcony, or outside area look like? What does your home look like from the street?
Go inside and take pictures or video of each room in your home. Visually capture a variety of angles, for each room try to get what they call an establishing shot, which means a picture of the entire room, and then close-ups shots of anything you want in particular.
Compile the pictures or video together in one document or video
How is this Family History?
Having a visual record of the place we were raised will provide interesting insights for future generations. These pictures will also help spark memories and stories of the time you spent in these spaces. The home we live in, the room where we sleep, and the places where we spend our time will probably change over the years. By documenting these spaces you are creating a personal record as well as record for the future.
